Schools to remain shut on Apr 19, 20 in Odisha
- Bhubaneswar: In the wake of a heatwave prevailing across Odisha, the state government on Tuesday announced to close all schools up to Class 12- both government and private - and all Anga wadi centers on April 19 and 20. The announcement was made on Twitter by chief secretary PK Jena. The Indian Meteorology Department has issued a heat- wave alert in several districts till April 20. The decision was welcomed by parents as they had demanded that the school timings be revised due to the heatwave.
