Naba murder: Narasingha seeks 'conspiracy' details from govt

Bhubaneswar: The ruling and opposition leaders once again locked horns over Naba Das's murder probe in the assembly on Monday. Raising the issue for Zero Hour. Congress legislature party leader Narasingha Mishra said the government should clarify on the suspects in the murder conspiracy since minister of state for home Tusharkanti Behera has said the crime branch is probing the conspiracy angle. He was referring to a reply by the minister which said the crime branch has been probing all angles, including conspiracy. Mishra said if the crime branch is indeed probing the conspiracy angle, it should specify if the conspiracy had personal, business or political angles.

BJP's Mukesh Mahaling reiterated his party's demand for a CBI probe. Mahaling said the crime branch's track record in solving crimes is not so good. "That is why the BJP has been de manding CBI probe into it. Forty-three days after the minister was shot dead, the- re is no headway in the pro- be," Mahaling said.

Speaking to reporters, BJD MLA Amar Prasad Satpathy said the opposition should refrain from raising the same issue since the assembly has already debated the issue.
